Why we're launching this way

EmCees for Kids - Putting families first.

Putting families first is our mantra, that we will carry with us in all our decisions.  And that means we start it at the very beginning with you and your family.  We are launching this company differently from the start.

First and foremost, your voice is important.  You want a say in how your kids' shoes are made?  Well, this is your time! Let us know what you want from a shoe as a parent.  What do your kids want?  Our job is simply to ask, then to bring those needs and desires to build the best shoe for your children.  We believe we are not just building a shoe, we are building a relationship.

Next, we feel strongly that overproduction of stuff is wasteful of everyone's resources. Unfortunately, it is not feasible to create this kind of product in small batches on demand. With 10,000 pairs being the initial volume of our launch, it’s important to us to find homes where our shoes will be appreciated.  The world doesn't need bigger landfills.  If we include you from the start, we are more likely to build the right shoe. 

Finally, we are a self-funded family company.  We have to be thoughtful with our choices as our resources are finite, like everyone's.  And this drives us to start by being responsible - to our customers - to our world's resources.  We want to remember that we are all on this journey together.  Our contribution to a good journey is small - and it starts with a single child's step. By launching this way, we can make that step take us further.
